Born in 2002, this young girl of Nasrullahganj is a multi-sport person. With national-level medals in Kho-Kho and powerlifting, Ankita is all set to represent India on the international level court.

Ankita has beenpractising powerlifting for two years and is coached by Mr Yogesh Pawar. She says, “Sir has motivated me through heavy and lighttimes of my training. Giving up is too easy, but sir has taught me tonever go for the easy path. I owe him big for making me who I am.”She also mentioned how supportive her family is.

Ankita’s favourite quote is a very famous Hindi quote which translates to –

“If a stone wants to be worshipped, it must first go through the beating of hammer and nails.”
