K. D. Ahire Honoured With Research Excellence Awards 2017

An award is something given to a person in recognition of his excellence in a certain field. Research Excellence Awards (REA) was an effort of MT Research and Educational Services (MTRES) to recognition the research excellence and contribution of Editors, Reviewers, and Authors in the respective domain. Research Excellence Awards had been conferred in three categories: Editor of the Year, Reviewer of the Year and Author of the Year. After preliminary screen and carefully reviewing the nomination, total 21 academicians had been selected for Research Excellence Awards 2017. Meet one of the awardees, K. D. Ahire, who has been honoured with REA-2017.

Willpower is the key to success. Successful people strive no matter what they feel by applying their will to overcome apathy, doubt or fear and such is the story of K. D. Ahire who is working as Assistant Professor at Department of Environment Management, Chattrapati Shahu Institute of Business Education and Research, Kolhapur, India. He pursued M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences from Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Pune.

He cracked UGC-NET in Environmental Sciences and has been federated with India’s National Search Centre for Grapes in Pune for a few years. He is Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Multidisciplinary Innovative Research (IJMIR) and Mentor of International STEM Programme initiated by New York Academy of Sciences, USA. As Principal Investigator, he is working on the project “Occupational Health Hazards faced by Woman Agricultural Labourers in Nigeria” with Nigerian researcher.

He has published a number of research papers in national and international journals and chapters in the edited books. He is a member of editorial and reviewer board for more than 20 national and international research journals.

He has been affiliated with several international organizations from India, UK, Hong Kong etc. He has served as programme committee member and editor for international conferences in European countries, China and Australia. He has been conferred with I2OR Emerging Researcher Award 2018, IARDO Young Scientist Award 2018 and IMRF Young Scientist Award 2017.

All successful people are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision. Such was the consistently superior performance of K. D. Ahire and his achievement in scientific research which makes him an inspiration to all the young blokes out there.
