Success comes to those who dedicate everything to their passion in life. To be successful, it is also very important to be humble and never let negative vibes travel to your head. The foundation stones for a balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, faith, love and loyalty and such were the quality traits in the life of Dr. T. S. Rathore.
Dr. Rathore received BSc (Engineering), ME, and Ph.D. (Electrical Engineering) all from Indore University, Indore. He actively served at SGSITS, Indore (1965-1978), IIT Bombay (1978-2006) and St Francis Institute of Technology, Borivali (2006-2014). As of now, he is a visiting professor at IIT Goa. He was a post-doctoral fellow (1983-85) at Concordia University, Canada and a visiting researcher at the University of South Australia, Adelaide (1993). He was an ISTE visiting professor (2005-2007).
He has published and presented over 235 research papers. He has authored the book Digital Measurement Techniques, New Delhi: Narosa Publishing House, 1996 and Alpha Science International Pvt. Ltd., U K which was translated in Russian in 2004. He was the Guest Editor of the special issue of Journal of IE on Instrumentation Electronics (1992). He is a member on the editorial boards of ISTE National Journal of Technical Education and IETE Journal of Education.
Those who improve with age embrace the power of personal growth and personal achievement and begin to replace youth with wisdom, innocence with understanding, and lack of purpose with self-actualization. Dr. T. S. Rathore has had many professional achievements in his life which shows us his true potential and caliber. He was listed in Asia’s Who’s Who of Men and Women of Achievement (1991). He played a very active role as a Fellow of IETE and has served its Mumbai Centre as Volunteer member (1997-98), Co-opted member (1998-99), Secretary (1999-2001), Chairman (2001-02), Vice Chairman (2003-06), Chairman (2006-08) and immediate past Chairman (2008-2010).
Dr. Rathore was facilitated with abundant amount of awards such as Best Paper Published Award in IETE J Education (2013), Best Paper Published Award in IETE J Education (2011), IETE Hari Ramji Toshniwal Award (2010), IETE K S Krishnan Memorial Award (2009), IETE Prof K Sreenivasn Memorial Award (2005), IETE B R Batra Memorial Award (2005), P.rof S V C Aiya Award (2004), ISTE U P Government National Award (2003), ISTE Maharashtra State National Award (2002), IEEE Bombay Section Silver Medal (2001) and IETE M N Saha Award (1997).
Dr. Rathore can be seen as a role model to many youths out there who withstood all the knowledge and experience and applied it to the best.
