CREATING HAPPINESS THROUGH CREATIVE ARTS

Kaushik Dasgupta of Andhra Pradesh made New National & World Records during Lockdown to motivate people

Staying positive and optimistic during times of crisis can be challenging, but it is not impossible. Doing the things which you like and passionate about can definitely be a reason to come out. And creative art plays a big role in that. Creativity is not exclusive to the arts. Creativity is just putting things together that were not together before, and usually in a useful way. Artists can creatively look at some aspects of their world, whether visual, sound, or ideas, and highlight these in a way that they were not highlighted before.

That corner of creativity has been explored by Kaushik Dasgupta of Siliguri, West Bengal who loves to do different things in different ways. He was a professional Photojournalist and had worked for various popular leading newspapers in North Bengal for 17 years. His photography received many awards and was famous for its uniqueness. His photographs speak and convey messages in a subtle way which makes the viewers mesmerized.

Everybody can write in a formal way from left to write. Everybody can write quotes formally. But did you ever try writing from right to left? For creative artists everything is possible. Kaushik made a unique record by writing the famous verse “Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country” in Reverse Mirror format in 27 seconds only (53 letters). He made this Record on the 74th Independence Day of India on 15 August 2020 at Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh (India). He has dedicated this Record to all the brave souls of the country.

It is a very unique talent and that too he performed during the lockdown period, where people are running out of energies and looking for motivation. Besides running household activities, a father of a special child showcased this keenness to contribute to such a creative field is worth witnessing. He is very dedicated to the society and ready to serve at his level best. Presently, Kaushik lives in Puttaparthi, a beautiful place in Andhra Pradesh and works as a Security Officer and Operation Executive of Chaitanya Jyoti, an international Museum of Puttaparthi. He is a very hardworking guy and never misses a chance to make his family happy. He is also passionate about singing, recitation, cooking unique dishes, interior decoration, drawing, and painting.

He is highly motivated by both of his sons, Dr. Sai Kaustuv Dasgupta and Dr. Kushal Dasgupta, the former being the WheelChair Warrior of India, Limca Book of Records Holder, Motivational and TEDx speaker and later being the Guinness World Record holder and Filmmaker. He is also inspired by his wife Dr. Shila Dasgupta who is also various National and World Records holders and the recipients of India Excellence Awards and Womens’ Pride Award. For this unique record of Reverse writing, he has been honoured from the Maharashtra Book of Records, Noble World Records, Vajra World Records, Kalams Book of Records which honored his unique talent.
