The whole country is suffering from the impact of the coronavirus. The global leaders and scientists are trying to minimize the effects and treat the corona victims and stop the coronavirus from spreading.
Total confirmed cases in India crosses 1000-mark, rises to 1024, and is rising rapidly with each passing minute.
Meanwhile, the Odisha government on Thursday announced it will set up two 500-bed hospitals to exclusively treat Covid-19 patients. The hospitals, being set up in partnership with Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital, will be functional in a fortnight.
The construction will take place in two stages. In the first stage, 450 beds will be set up while in the next stage, 500 beds plus ICU facilities will be set up in the hospital. This is indeed a good initiative made by the government.
This announcement is made at a time when India is heading towards the third stage of Coronavirus. India is a vast country in terms of population and if the virus is not brought under control soon, India will have to see a huge shortage of hospitals. CM Naveen Patnaik deserves a lot of appreciation for such a great initiative during the coronavirus pandemic.
The news of Odissa government taking such a step to help cure the corona victims is such a relief at this time of despair.
