A Proper Dress

Glitter in eyes, few bucks in hand

little girl reached uncle tailor

Uncle asked her the chores

opening more wide the doors

“Uncle, make me a dress

Should be proper, even if a mess”

Uncle tailor asked little girl

“what is a proper dress?

And I make beautiful, not mess”

Uttering only what she heard,

Far from meaning of those words

Said she –

“Should be long enough to cover me,

Neck should not be deep, or I will weep.

I don’t know what appealing is

But reduce that too,

Suffocation is okay

Don’t wanna hear-How Dare You”

Listening this, uncle replied

“Where did you learn these words dear?

The one who utter those must fear.

A dress is beautiful or ugly.

And it’s not the dress. They look at it vaugly.

Was Seeta not wearing it properly?

Or the eight months old is appealing?

All you need is a dress

Nice and Fit.

B’ful more than a bit.

Forgot all that, you’ll look like a princess,

I Bet.”
